Bus Station Oranjestad

After many years of planning finally a Bus Station was build in the center of our capital Oranjestad. The purpose of this bus station is not only to serve our passengers with bus transportation, but also to facilitate them by means of a small commercial area. There's a food stand and also the restaurant 'Pollo Tropical". Unfortunately business for the restaurant didn't go as expected and it closed it's door. There was also a small hang out bar called Conga, but also closed after a few months.

After a few years later management of Arubus in cooperation with a well-known business partner decided to introduce a new plan for a renovation of the complete bus station building. The new bus station will be improvised with a much better commercial area with a variety of businesses and services. The demolishing of the actual bus station began in February 2006 and is planned to be finalized in September 2006. We want to apologize to our passengers for the inconvenience caused by the construction of the new building and also for the delay in having a roof for the temporary waiting area, which is out of reach of our hands due to the paperwork and delay at the DOW (Public Works) departments

With this new building Arubus hopes to better serve our passengers with a variety of businesses. Wel will keep you updated with any news of the construction and also the prospect commercial locations.
